POINSETTIA COCKTAIL
I have partnered with ALDI on this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
We are full into the festive spirit here!
We spent the weekend putting up all of our Christmas lights and decorations, I got our cards addressed (such a chore but glad to have it done) and I did a lot of baking yesterday for my son?s preschool bake sale and holiday party that?s tonight.
We also took the kids to see the Magic of Christmas show that our symphony orchestra does every year and it was really great! All that Christmas music really puts me in the spirit! ??????
And now that we?re into December, I?m all about the holiday parties and upcoming festivities. So many fun events to look forward to and so much to do to get ready!
(Yes, I?ve been planning for weeks and weeks now, but it?s getting REAL.)
INGREDIENTS
1 bottle of Bonaval Cava Brut sparkling wine
Triple Sec (or orange liqueur)
Cranberry juice
FOR SERVING
Fresh cranberries, fresh pomegranate seeds, a sliver of orange peel or a sugared rim for the glasses
INSTRUCTIONS
Fill each champagne glass half-full with the sparkling wine.
Add a splash of orange liqueur to each glass. Top with cranberry juice and serve!
RECIPE NOTES
Any sparkling wine or champagne can be used here. Also, I use Triple Sec but Cointreau or any orange liqueur will work.
Feel free to play with the quantities above. They are a suggestion and a starting point, but you can adjust the amount of sparkling wine, orange liqueur and cranberry juice to suit your tastes.
Serving these for a crowd? You can fancy them up with some cranberries or pomegranate seeds dropped in the drink, a slither of orange peel or with a sugared rim around the edge of your glasses.
